Los bloggers de turismo de Latinoamerica tendrán un espacio especialmente pensado para ellos y sus necesidades en el Foro Iberoamericano de Turismo Sostenible: Emprendimiento e Innovación en LATAM – FITS

Durante el encuentro de FITS se abrirá un espacio para que los bloggers de LATAM tengan un encuentro de conversación durante el día Miercoles 15 de Octubre a través de un seminario que lo dictarán bloggers de reconocimiento mundial como Erika Silva (@erisofia), creadora de @Marketingastro, Annie Burbano (@annieburbano) founder & Ceo de @TurisTic, Susana Sandoval (@sandovaltur), bloggera de Argentina especialista en turismo responsable, Javier Tejera (@J_Tejera), blogero español enfocado al turismo sostenible y creador de @Ecotumismo y finalmente estará presente Beatriz Martín (@BeaMartinR) española residente en Nicaragua, enfocada a la sostenibilidad turística y conservación del medio ambiente, además co – organizadora de FITS.

Flores is a tiny island in Lake Peten Itza in Guatemala. It’s about an hour from Tikal and several people have said it’s a cute place to stop. You ride over a causeway from the town of Santa Elena to get to the island. And there are no hotels that have parking for the bikes, so I won’t be staying but stop over for lunch instead.

The island is hilly and at the top I find the main church and a community park. Some locals are hanging out at a tienda (snack shop) and are watching a soccer game on tv.

I wander down the narrow cobblestoned street to the waters edge and have to avoid the tuk tuks coming up the hill.

The view from above was nice.

The shoreline of the island is lined with hostels and cafes and bars.
